Coach Erik is the owner of Bat Breakers Academy.  He currently lives in Greenback, TN with his wife and two children.  He grew up in Maryville, TN playing sports at a young age where he attended Maryville High School playing both varsity baseball (Catcher) and football (Wide Receiver).

Upon graduating high school, Coach Erik joined the Air National Guard and began his military career.  He retired from active duty, stationed at Joint Base Andrews in February 2022, having served over 24 years and achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.  

Coach Erik has been coaching youth sports for over eight years and has a passion for teaching life lessons through sports.  He served as a board member of the Southern Maryland Youth Organization for two years and has coached both recreational and travel teams.

Coach Erik utilizes leadership principles he has learned throughout his military career to provide structured programs for his athletes.  He believes communication, connection and commitment are key to being an effective coach.
